Each stone that we use has been individually selected for its unique beauty. We cut our stones with our own gem stone cutters and oversee each stone before its used to make our pieces. Please keep this in mind as the stones used in your jewellery will also be unique and will vary slightly in size and colour from other pieces that have been made or photographs you may have seen.
If you would like to buy gems only we do offer this service, please email us email@example.com
Sri Lankan Gem Stones
We do our very best to use all Sri Lankan stones where ever possible. We source from ethical environments with all the gem stones mined in Sri Lanka and locally skilled crafts people are used for the stone cutting/valuations and making of the jewellery. I personally oversee all production and each piece is inspected prior to shipment. If you would like images of your product over US$500 sent to you prior to shipment, please add on the comments section when ordering.
Gem Stone Identification Certificates
All stones over US$500 are automatically sent with a certificate, please note this is stone value not jewellery value.
All our pieces are made using 18ct Gold and 952 Sterling Silver. If you would prefer any other metal, we will be happy to quote you. We shy away from plating our products but this is something we can offer at an additional cost.
We make sure all our stones are not heat treated and as perfect as we possibly can. As they are from the earth and naturally formed there are some stones that cannot be free of occlusals. We do our very best to make everything known to our customers prior to shipment that will be visible on receipt. This is very rare as we have a strict process we follow to avoid any stones being used that we are not happy with. Raw Cut Stones are absolutely one of a kind, we cannot be responsible for any stones received that the customer is not happy with if they are raw.
We do work with diamonds and will always source ethically, Sri Lanka does not have diamonds in its gem offering. They are not mined here. We can give diamond certificates with every diamond we use fro the GIA and we will state on our descriptions the VVS grading.
There are a few ways to read your birthstone but we have taken the below list that reflects Sri Lanka’s gem stones as much as possible. If you would like a different stone, please contact us directly firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help you

February - Amethyst

June – Alexandrite
July – Ruby
August – Peridot

Our love of Sri Lanka is so empowered in our product we would like all of our customers to understand a little bit about the ups and downs but honestly how truly amazing this country is.
Each piece of SJK Rocks is unique, there isn’t another piece in the world, making you the luckiest customer in the world. However, in saying that Sri Lanka has some amazing things about it as having nearly 25 days of public holidays around religious festivals and Full Moon Days (Poya) we hope you appreciate some delays are not entirely our fault. Where we see a longer delay due to New Year Holidays and longer delivery times we will ensure you are aware of them.
As Sri Lanka continues to grow, there are always differences but sometimes strikes within the labour or customs are also known, however, we will let you know if this will effect delivering your SJK Rocks order to you.
